PolyCast™ is an easy to print filament designed specifically for investment casting applications.

Featuring Ash Free™ Technology, 3D printed patterns in PolyCast™ can be completely vaporized when vitrifying the ceramic investment, typically leaving an ash residue of <0.003% by weight. PolyCast™ significantly cuts down both the cost and lead time by eliminating wax injection mould tooling process.

The Specialty family provides unique filaments from Polymaker to unlock new 3D printing applications.

PolyCast™ is a filament designed to produce investment patterns for investment casting applications. 3D printing significantly cuts down both the cost and lead time by eliminating the tooling process.

Spool Size: 750g

Advised 3d printing temperature:
190˚C – 220˚C

Advised 3d print speed:
40mm/s – 60mm/s

Advised Heated bed:
25-70C

Bed Surface:
Glass with glue, blue tape

What makes PolyCast™ unique?

PolyCast™ features two unique technologies:

Layer-Free: PolyCast™ can be easily smoothed with IPA for a smoother surface finish which is reflected on the casted model.

Ash-Free: PolyCast™ burns out very cleanly with minimum ash residues.

What is the residue percentage of PolyCast™ after burning?

It is recommended to burn out the printing part at 1000~1200 oC for 1~2 hours. the final ash content is tightly related to the printing part°Øs topological structure as well as the burning condition: please ensure there is enough air blowing when burning out the part, please also ensure the print part°Øs structure is not extremely complicated (for extreme complicated structure, two-times burning may be necessary).
